EurAgEng assigns Award of Merit 2019

During the last Land.Technik AgEng event on 8 and 9 November 2019, EurAgEng assigned its prestigious recognition, the EurAgEng Award of Merit - Innovation into Practice 2019.

This EurAgEng award is granted to individuals for their major international contribution to commercial practice and engineering innovation for the benefit of agriculture, environment, industry and/or the rural sector in Europe. The winners are a leading light in the industry, have a clear understanding of the practical and commercial challenges facing farming, the rural environment and/or associated industry and have made a major contribution to engineering innovation that has been recognised commercially and at international level.

EurAgEng is proud to announce that the EurAgEng Award of Merit - Innovation into Practice 2019 was granted to Michael and Cornelia Horsch

Michael and Cornelia Horsch have contributed greatly to the European farming and manufacturing community in many ways ever since Horsch Maschinen GmbH was founded in the mid '80s. They have put all of their passion into developing and promoting a clear vision for a sustainable and new way of farming which resulted in mainstream practices as conservation tillage and seeding. Better, healthier soils, combining efficiency gains with minimum impact on the environment is part of the success story of Horsch. Their direct approach to reach out and communicate with farmers is a model for many other companies today. Their success did not prevent them to still dedicate part of their time to voluntary activities in several organisations to bring their vision to the global scene and to provide support to the agricultural machinery industry overall.
